Advance Ticket – Day Tickets

Opening Ticket: tickets valid from the opening day of Expo 2025 to April 26, 2025

  • Adults: 4,000 yen for adults
  • Children aged 12 to 17: 2,200 yen
  • Children aged 4 to 11: 1,000 yen

First-Half Period Ticket: tickets valid from the opening day of Expo 2025 to July 18, 2025

  • Adults: 5,000 yen for adults
  • Children aged 12 to 17: 3,000 yen
  • Children aged 4 to 11: 1,200 yen

One-Day Ticket (Super Early Bird Ticket): day tickets sold for a limited period, from November 30, 2023 to October 6, 2024.

  • Adults: 6,000 yen for adults
  • Children aged 12 to 17: 3,500 yen
  • Children aged 4 to 11: 1,500 yen

One-Day Ticket (Early Bird Ticket): day tickets sold for a limited period, from October 7, 2024 to April 12, 2025.

  • Adults: 6,700 yen for adults
  • Children aged 12 to 17: 3,700 yen
  • Children aged 4 to 11: 1,700 yen

Other Ticket Types

Season Pass: This ticket allows unlimited entry to the Expo site for the entire duration of the event.

  • Adults: 30,000 yen
  • Children aged 12 to 17: 15,000 yen
  • Children aged 4 to 11: 7,500 yen

Summer Pass: Multiple Entry Pass from July 19, 2025 to August 31, 2025, all days after 11:00 AM.

  • Adults: 12,000 yen
  • Children ages 12 – 17 : 7,000 yen
  • Children ages 4 -11 : 3,000 yen

Tickets Sold Directly at Expo 2025

One-Day Ticket: Valid for entry on any date and time during Expo 2025

  • Adults: 7,500 yen
  • Children ages 12-17: 4,200 yen
  • Children ages 4-11: 1,800 yen

Weekday Ticket: Valid for use on weekdays from 11:00 AM

  • Adults: 6,000 yen
  • Children ages 12-17: 3,500 yen
  • Children ages 4-11: 1,500 yen

Evening Ticket: Valid for entry after 5:00 PM

  • Adults: 3,700 yen
  • Children ages 12-17: 2,000 yen
  • Children ages 4-11: 1,000 yen

How to Purchase Tickets for Expo 2025 Osaka

Expo 2025 admission tickets can be purchased on the official website, through travel agencies, or other authorized channels. Tickets are available in various types and can be purchased as e-tickets (digital tickets) and purchased online or directly at Expo 2025 in Osaka.

How to purchase tickets for Expo 2025 from the official website

To purchase tickets on the official website, you need to register to obtain an Expo ID.

This ID (account) allows you to purchase tickets for yourself and your family, to book the dates and times of entry to Expo 2025, and to book free entry to the pavilions.

To register, you will need to enter your email address, after which you will receive all the information to confirm and complete the registration.

Once you have completed the ID registration, you can proceed to purchase tickets. Choose the tickets you prefer, making sure you do not make a mistake with the age and number of tickets.

You can pay by credit card or at convenience stores (conbini) in Japan. Once you have completed the payment, you will receive your e-tickets.

After making your purchase, you can start booking your entry date and time up to six months before the entry date. You can also book for events and exhibitions in the various pavilions.

How to Get to Expo 2025

The best way to get to Expo 2025 in Osaka at Yumeshima is to use public transportation.

Yumeshima is located near Universal City Station on the JR Yumesaki Line and Osakako Station on the Chuo Subway Line.

By Subway:

  • Chuo Subway Line: A new extension of the Chuo Subway Line will be built specifically for Expo 2025, connecting Cosmosquare Station to the new Yumeshima Station. This will be the most direct way to get to the Expo site from central Osaka.

By Train:

  • JR Sakurajima Line: You can take the JR Sakurajima Line to Universal City Station and then transfer to a shuttle bus to the Expo site.

By Shuttle Bus:

  • Private Shuttle Buses: There will be a number of private shuttle buses operating to the Expo site from various points in Osaka and beyond.
  • Airport Shuttle Buses: There will also be shuttle buses operating directly from Kansai International Airport and Osaka International Airport to the Expo site.

By Car:

  • Driving to Expo 2025 is possible, but it is not recommended. Parking is limited and must be reserved in advance. It is much easier and more convenient to use public transportation.

Where to Stay for Expo 2025

To fully enjoy the Expo 2025 experience in Osaka, it is recommended to stay in the Osaka Bay area, near Yumeshima. From this area, you can easily access the event and have many valid accommodation options, from luxury hotels to more economical solutions.

Other Areas

If you are looking for more options, you may consider staying in other areas of Osaka, such as the popular Umeda or Namba districts. However, keep in mind that it will take you longer to get to Expo 2025 from these areas.

  • Umeda: Umeda is a major business and entertainment district in Osaka. It is home to a number of hotels, restaurants, and shops.
  • Namba: Namba is another popular district in Osaka. It is known for its lively nightlife and its many shops and restaurants.

Kyoto

Alternatively, you could also consider staying in Kyoto, which is less than 30 minutes from Osaka by train. Kyoto is a beautiful city with a rich history and culture. There are many hotels and other accommodations available in Kyoto to suit all budgets.
